Mint has now become pretty much available during all season, but during summers it simply becomes essential. With summers right around the corner, we thought you’d love to whisk up some minty cocktail delights that are refreshing and icy cool for the season. Whether you enjoy vodka or rum, mint brings a certain freshness to your drink that you can’t deny.

1. The Mojito Italiano
This classic Cuban mojito with an Italian twist is an all-time favourite amongst cocktail lovers. It’s a quick fix for every party and here’s how you can serve it to your guests and impress them. Stir mint, simple syrup, 3/4 ounces of lemon juice, along with Campari and rum. Shake it well and pour it into the high glass along with prosecco and mint sprigs to garnish. It’s that simple!
2. Rhubarb Mint Mojito
Yet another mojito favourite that isn’t too difficult to prepare is Rhubarb Mint Mojito where Rhubarb and mint are the hero ingredients (huh, stating the obvious). To get started with the drink preparation, place a few fresh mints at the bottom of a rock glass, stir it well before adding crushed ice on top. Next up, pour rhubarb mint syrup into the prepared rock glass along with lime and rum. Add a splash of soda on the top and garnish it with mint and lime wedges for presentation.
If rhubarb mint syrup isn’t readily available, you can prepare it at home too. All you have to do is, mix rhubarb with sugar, water, and mint in a saucepan on high heat. Let it boil and then simmer it off for about 15 minutes before straining the mixture. There you are ready with a bright pink syrup which is also called the rhubarb mint syrup.
3. The famous Southside Fizz
Southside Fizz can be served with or without ice, as you prefer. When served with ice it becomes a perfect slow-sipper. A satisfying mix of soda, gin and muddled mint. This drink is relatively simple to create and impress the crowd too. Start by muddling the mint leaves along with simple syrup in a mixing glass. To that mixture, add a quarter cup of gin and a similar quantity of lemon juice. Shake the mixture well before straining it into a glass of ice. Top this mixture off with soda and garnish it with our hero ingredient, mint!
4. Peach Julep
This cocktail couldn’t get any easier! Start by muddling the mint leaves in a pitcher until you get the aroma of the leaves. To that, add ripe peaches and a teaspoon of sugar. Mix these further. To the pitcher, add crushed ice and then pour the bourbon along with lemon juice. Stir the mixture well before garnishing it with peach wedges and mint.
This classic drink recipe is almost like dessert by itself. Start by filling up the shaker with ice and then pour green creme de menthe, white creme de cacao and light cream into it. Shake it well until its chilled outside. Strain it off into a cocktail glass and garnish it with a sprig of mint.
6. Old Cuban
This is yet another simple cocktail to prepare. Take a mixing glass and add lime juice, syrup, and mint. Muddle this mixture well and add rum, Angostura bitters along with ice. Shake this mixture before pouring it into a coupe glass and top it off with Champagne. This is a hybrid combination between a Mojito and French 75. You could also use dry sparkling wine instead of champagne based on your choice.
7. The Mint Daiquiri
A perfect combination of fresh mint leaves to a crisp daiquiri. Take a shaker and mint leaves into it. Muddle the leaves and to that add white rum, lime juice, and sugar cane juice. Shake the mixture well with ice. Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass and garnish it with a mint leaf.
8. Old Maid
A super refreshing drink with mint and cucumber as lead ingredients. Into a shaker, combine gin, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, cucumber wheels, and mint leaves. Shake the mixture well with ice in it. Strain the mixture into a chilled glass and garnish it with a sprig of mint and cucumber.
This picture-perfect drink is extremely simple to prepare. Get started by muddling mint leaves with brown sugar and lime juice. Add vodka, Cointreau and a splash of cranberry juice into a shaker with ice. Pour this mixture into a martini glass and garnish with a sprig of mint. Cosmojito is a classic drink that is simple to prepare and palatable to be served.
10. Mezcal Mash
Last but not least, Mezcal Mash is one of our personal favourites, and so we couldn’t resist but add this to the list. To make the Mezcal Mash, muddle fresh mint leaves in a shaker and then add half a lemon juice with simple syrup and mezcal. Shake the mixture well before straining it into the glass with crushed ice. Top the drink off with Angostura bitters and add mint to garnish.
