1. Mimosa

What you need

  • 60 ml orange juice
  • 60 ml sparkling wine or champagne of your choice (chilled)

How to make

  • Add the orange juice to a Champagne flute
  • Fill with sparkling wine or champagne and serve

2. Brandy Alexander Cocktail

What you need

  • 60 ml brandy
  • 60 ml dark creme de cacao
  • 60 ml​ cream
  • Nutmeg

How to make

  • Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and shake well
  • Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
  • Garnish with a dusting of nutmeg

3. Vieux Carré

What you need

  • 22 ml rye whiskey
  • 22 ml Cognac
  • 22 ml sweet vermouth
  • 7.5 ml Bénédictine
  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Lemon peel for garnish

How to make 

  • Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled

4. Napoleon

  • 60 ml gin
  • 30 ml Grand Marnier
  • 30  ml vermouth

How to make

5. Paloma

What you need

  • 60 ml tequila
  • 15 ml fresh lime juice
  • Grapefruit soda

How to make

  • Add the tequila and lime juice to a highball glass filled with ice
  • Fill with grapefruit soda, and stir briefly before serving

6. Classic Gibson

What you need

  • 60 ml gin
  • 30 ml dry vermouth
  • Cocktail onions

How to make

  • Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice cubes
  • Stir well
  • Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
  • Garnish with a cocktail onion

7. Classic Cosmo

What you need

  • 60 ml vodka
  • 30 ml orange liqueur
  • 50 ml  fresh lemon juice
  • 50 ml  fresh lime juice
  • 30 ml simple syrup
  • Sliced lime

How to make

  • Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice
  • Shake and strain into a martini glass
  • Garnish with a lime slice
  • Use a glass with a salt rim for added flavour
  • Note: For a spicy kick, add three jalapeño slices to the shaker

8. Blood and Sand

What you need

  • 60 ml whisky
  • 30 ml cherry brandy
  • 30 ml sweet vermouth
  • 30 ml orange juice
  • Orange peel for garnish

How to make

  • Pour the Scotch, brandy, vermouth, and orange juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake well
  • Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
  • Garnish with an orange peel

9. Negroni

What you need

  • 60 ml sweet vermouth
  • 60 ml Campari
  • 30 ml gin
  • Orange slice or twist for garnish

How to make

  • Pour the ingredients into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice cubes and stir well
  • Garnish with an orange slice or peel before serving

10. Classic Mint Julep

What you need

  • 30 ml simple syrup
  • 5 mint sprigs
  • 60 ml bourbon whiskey

How to make

  • Muddle the simple syrup and 4 mint sprigs in a julep cup
  • Add the bourbon and crushed ice and stir well to combine
  • Fill with more crushed ice and garnish with remaining mint sprig

11. Tom Collins

What you need

  • 25 ml lemon juice
  • 25 ml simple syrup
  • 60 ml gin
  • Soda water
  • Lemon slice and cherry for garnish

How to make

  • Mix lemon juice, syrup and gin in a shaker with ice.
  • Shake well until chilled
  • Strain into a highball glass filled with a few ice cubes
  • Add club soda to top off drink
  • Garnish with a lemon and cherry

12. Bloody Mary

What you need

  • 45 ml of vodka
  • 90 ml of tomato juice
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • A few drops of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce
  • Salt and pepper

How to make

  • Squeeze the lemon and strain the juice into a bowl
  • In a highball pour the Worcestershire sauce, tomato juice and lemon juice, season with salt and pepper and stir
  • Add 5-6 ice cubes, pour vodka and a few drops of Tabasco, mix gently and serve

13. Margarita

What you need

  • Half slice lime wheel, thickly sliced (for serving)
  • 60 ml tequila blanco
  • 30 ml fresh lime juice
  • 30 ml simple syrup
  • Salt

How to make

  • Pour salt on a small plate. Rub rim of a glass with lime (reserve the lime for serving); dip in salt. Fill with ice and set aside
  • Combine tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds
  • Strain cocktail into reserved glass. Garnish with lime wheel

14. Sidecar

What you need

  • 30 ml fresh lemon juice, plus more for glass
  • 60 ml brandy
  • 30 ml ounce triple sec
  • Granulated sugar (for serving)

How to make

  • Place some sugar on a small plate. Moisten half of rim of a coupe glass with a little lemon juice and dip into sugar; shake off excess. Set aside
  • Combine brandy, triple sec, and remaining lemon juice in a cocktail shaker
  • Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds
  • Strain into reserved glass

15. Classic Whiskey Smash

What you need

  • 7 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 lemon half
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup
  • 60 ml bourbon
  • Crushed ice

How to make

  • Using a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon, mash 7 fresh mint leaves, 1 lemon half, quartered lengthwise, and 1 tablespoon of simple syrup in a glass or a cocktail shaker to release juices and oils
  • Add bourbon and pour into an Old Fashioned glass
  • Fill with crushed ice and stir
  • Garnish with mint

16. Vieux Carre

What you need

  • 60 ml rye whiskey
  • 30 ml Cognac
  • 30 ml sweet vermouth
  • 1 barspoon Bénédictine
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

How to make

  • Combine ingredients in a mixing glass and fill with ice
  • Stir well, strain into an ice-filled Old Fashioned glass

17. Singapore Sling

What you need

  • 60 ml gin
  • 60 ml cherry brandy
  • 60 ml Bénédictine
  • 60 ml fresh lime juice
  • 30 ml soda water
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

How to make

  • Combine all ingredients except soda and bitters in an ice-filled glass
  • Top with soda water, stir briefly and add a dash of Angostura bitters before serving

18. Rob Roy Cocktail

What you need

  • 60 ml scotch
  • 60 ml sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

How to make

  • Combine the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir to chill thoroughly
  • Strain into a chilled glass and serve

19. Gin and Tonic

What you need

  • 25ml gin
  • 125ml tonic water
  • 10ml fresh lime juice
  • 2 wedges of lime

How to make

  • Fill a tall glass with ice cubes
  • Pour gin, tonic water and lime juice into the glass
  • Garnish with lime wedges and serve

20. Espresso Martini

What you need

  • 25 ml espresso-flavoured vodka
  • 25 ml Baileys Coffee Irish Cream
  • 25 ml espresso
  • 10 ml honey
  • 3 coffee beans

How to make

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes
  • Add espresso vodka, Baileys, espresso coffee and honey to the shaker
  • Strain into a large martini glass
  • Garnish with a few coffee beans
