Here’s where you can head to for your Dim Sum special brunch in Delhi-NCR
There’s something about the tiny, translucent, and delectable pillows stuffed with the goodness of vegetables or meat, fondly called dim sums. Nutritious and healthy, they are a crowd pleaser and just the right thing to order when craving for something spicy yet light and easily accessible. Dim sums, wontons, siu mai, dumplings, momos; there are plenty of names we come across and often get confused with. But for now, I have rounded up some of the best places that serve dim sum in Delhi-NCR. So, keep your chopsticks ready!
Dim Sum & Co. is one of the very few outlets that serve the most unique yet authentic dim sums. They are not only delicious and mouth-watering to the sight but are also cotton-like soft and mostly accompanied with an assortment of spicy sauces. Their Crystal Vegetable and Mushroom Sim sum is most loved, thanks to its taste and shiny crystal skin. If you don’t want to stop at one, order the classic assorted dim sum box.
Pa Pa Ya is a contemporary Asian bistro and bar, most popularly described as a chic reinterpretation of Asian cuisine. The best part about this classic restaurant is that it offers a perfect balance of gastronomic experience and exceptional culinary art. In fact, its expansive menu characterizes influences from Myanmar, Thailand, Korea, Singapore, and Japan. Using technology, the expertise of its chefs, and unique techniques, Pa Pa Ya is facilitating a one-of-a-kind experience. Here, you cannot miss trying their Edamame Chickpea Open Bao, Shaomai, Carrot and Truffle Cream Cheese, Glutinous Rice, and Lo Mai Gai. This is one of the very few restaurants that serve over 68 variants of dim sums.
Dao, sited in GK 1’s block, has been in the vicinity for a while now. Widely spread across three floors, Dao primarily serves Thai and Chinese food. For those who like rooftop places, this one would surely leave you impressed. From their long menu, it’s hard to pick a favorite but I’d certainly recommend the Spicy Prawn Dim Sum, Duck Dim Sum, Spinach Wrapped Prawn Dim Sum, Smoked Chicken, Dao Tiki, and Soy Soya.
If you are planning to visit OTW, ensure you sit right on the top of the waterfront, which has been named the Dim Sum Studio. The glammed-up space and vibrant ambiance make this restaurant a perfect spot to visit for special occasions. The restaurant has curated a selection of dim sums, which guests can savor whilst enjoying the vibe of the place. What’s even more interesting is the fact that OTW changes its menu every week, so, every time you visit this place, you’ll have something new to try. At this restaurant, you must try Crystal Prawn Dim Sum, Tom Yum Chicken Bao, Shitake Vegetable Spinach Wrap, and Edamame Truffle.
Honk at the Pullman Hotel has gained immense repute as an oriental restaurant since its commencement. If you are looking for a complete meal, go for the celebration menu, which comprises dim sums, salad, soup, main course, accompaniments, and desserts. At Honk, you cannot miss trying their Prawn Har Gao Dumplings, Duck and Sour Cherry Dumpling, and Thai Basil Singapore Chili Shrimps. Even if you don’t happen to be a fan of Oriental food, this place is still worth a visit.
So, head to any of these eateries and sit back and dig into your favorite variant of dim sum!
